Thyme

Thyme is a beautiful herb, ruled by Venus and an element of water. Thyme got her name from the Greek word “thumos” which translates to courage. However, other theories believe that thyme got her name from the word “thymos” which means “perfume.” Thyme is a fragrant plant. As obvious as it may seem, for myself, Thyme reminds me of time. When engaging with Thyme, I utilize her properties to carryover throughout my lifetime or during that moment in time. Thyme is beneficial to utilize for healing, purification, love, psychic powers and courage. When I meditate on those outcomes and wonder how this plant manifests them into the physical plane, I tend to connect to the healing properties of Thyme. She is loving and nurturing. She wishes for your most healed self to be presented in this world. She takes the time to rest, heal and evolve. Thyme reminds me of a Cancerian energy. As your mother cares for you as a sick child, Thyme is there to heal all realms of your softer sides, your vulnerable sides. She allows you to be soft inside, while providing you with a strong exterior of courage to be as you are to the fullest extent.

What is the purpose to healing? Healing is to allow your mind, body and spirit the time it needs to recover. Thyme is utilized in sleep rituals and spell workings. In my experience, this not only gives you a peaceful night of sleep, it allows a deep healing to take place on a subconscious level. Connecting the healing, psychic and sleep energies of this herb, you can see how she will assist you through your dreams. She provides a safe nest to rest and bring forth your inner healing needs to the courageous surface for you to face. With her power, you can sense that maybe those fears, weren’t so scary. Her courage is unmatched. Like a mama bear who will take on an alpha twice her size to defend her cubs. She will show you the way of standing in your power, removing unwanted energies and protecting your inner peace, your inner beauty.

I will utilize Thyme in kitchen witchery as an offering or spell working to promote healing within my own Cancerian placements, as well as the wounded feminine within myself or my lineage. I utilize the play on words with Thyme and Time to intend a longevity to my spell working. Thyme is timeless in that sense. Courage, love and healing are all timeless needs expressed through every moment of time. We all need to nurture and heal ourselves. Equally, in my perspective, when engaging in healing, the focus is on quality and longevity. Thyme is known for the healing properties of physical health benefits and sleep benefits. All of these connect together to allow you the internal strength to be courageous in all your endeavors. As we feed and heal ourselves on a cellular level, that energy is then radiated to an external level that is untouchable.

I will equally utilize Thyme in money spells. The focus on utilizing Thyme in money manifestations would be to add that health aspect to money engagements. In this modern world, money and materialism are at an extreme imbalance and placed upon a false pedestal. When engaging with Thyme for money uses, I intend to heal those wounds within myself from societal conditioning and to create a timeless purification of my money stories.
