Rosemary

Rosemary is one of my most favorite herbs to utilize. Rosemary is a masculine plant, ruled by the sun and therefore an element of fire. For myself, I tend to relate Rosemary to the deity Asmodeus or Hades. This herb can be related to other deities that are within a similar essence of them. Rosemary reminds me deeply of the “Devoted Villain” archetype. Rosemary is strong, powerful, protective and yet sweet. The scent of rosemary can be overpowering if not handled with care. Rosemary will defend you to the bitter end and destroy all worlds for any amount of harm sent your way. Rosemary is the ultimate defender and protector. I will utilize Rosemary for protection, hexes and love spells or offerings. The intention being infused with the same empowered spirit of the purest form of protective love. The love of a brother, father, or husband over any female of pedestal within their life.

In cord cutting spells I will anoint Rosemary oil or dried herb to my candle for defense. If I am to place it on the adversary’s candle, it is simply to release them with love while equally ensuring they understand the consequence if they are to return. Rosemary is firm and centered. The energy will only take the action necessary. He does not exert any more energy than what is needed to achieve success within the spell work. Ultimately, Rosemary is a power packed threat. Often served as a warning before battle. A balanced Knight or Emperor.

When utilizing Rosemary in kitchen witchery, it is typically utilized as an offering for that protective love in all endeavors. I ritualize all meals, intently connecting to the herbs for continuous sacrifice and offerings to the Earth and the gods. Rosemary provides the loving protection of a divine masculine within the home. I find Rosemary to be an element that expresses what it means to have an integrated force of femininity within the dominant divine masculine archetypes.

Rosemary is the ultimate tool for all hexing needs. Just as the masculine lover will go to hell and back for who and what he loves most, Rosemary will attend to your side with similar devotion. The key is in the respect and honor of the plant within your own personal relationship to the plant, your relationship to yourself and your path, as well as your intention under the spell workings. Rosemary does not condone disrespect. If you are a disrespectful soul or are wishing to utilize Rosemary for an unjust purpose, he will not follow through for you. Rosemary is noble and fair. He will defend the honor of his loved ones, but will not act impulsively to your petty immaturity. While it is not in the heart of Rosemary to “betray” or turn against a loved one, he will put an end to an unworthy, imbalanced or improper source or request; one way or another.

It is important to build a connection of genuine relationship to all herbs that you engage with. Treat them as friends or other humanly mutual titles. The rapport you build within your craft will drastically impact your success in your spell workings.
