This guide is designed to educate and redirect the understanding of the Root Chakra and how to connect with yours on a deeper and more personal level for yourself; without distraction or overwhelm with other variables.

Root Chakra Saturday is the day of grounding. Ground yourself into this reality with the intent of your dreams. Often I find people grounding themselves within this world as it is and not within this world as it should, could or is desired to be. Be aware of the truths and rules of this plane. Respect the boundaries in place by Earth and like the goat, strategically climb the mountain side to the summit of the heavens while unapologetically making your way through the rigidity. Powerful crystals to utilize on this day are Ruby, Garnet and Obsidian. Protect yourself through the harshness and roughness that is the stable surface.

Root Chakra Saturday is a beautiful day for protection rituals. Upgrade and rejuvenate your wards. Clear out any areas that may have been “attacked.” Repair any damage done to your sacred space. The healing power of Heart Chakra Friday will be the rejuvenating energy to rebuild and renovate your tower, your sacred space, your inner self. This is a day to become lost in all the earthly pleasures that fuel your spirit, not drain it. This is the day where you enjoy the senses as an earthling. Tap into your inner Earth sign energy. If you do not have any within your birth chart, do not fret. As humans we all can connect to the Earth. You may need a creative spark or assistance to do so. Find a trusted Earth sign friend to engage with today. Spend some time in nature.

Saturday is the perfect day for deeply connecting with your garden or with the nature that surrounds your living space. Go for a walk, lay in the grass and let your bare feet intermingle with the ground. Feel into the energy flowing through you from the ground up. Our energy systems are not one ways. They are multifaceted and open and close like a dance. They move in and out, up and down, side to side and all around. Constantly flowing and dancing together to create a masterpiece.

Connect all roots and avenues that lead you to the final day of the week. Reflect on your initiative Crown Chakra Sunday and bridge the insights that flowed into the oasis that is your Root Chakra Saturday. Treat each week as a mini puzzle, a short cycle with nuggets of insights for your global scale. You may not see the overall theme right away, and that is fine. Connect to the theme you believe it to be and trust you will only continue to advance in time. These are smaller cycles to work through, even though some weeks are heavier or larger than others. For myself on Saturdays, I go exploring. I bring forth the confidence and healing I built during my week and concluded on Friday. I “get shit done” so to speak. This is the day I thrift and hunt for vessels and magickal supplies. This is the day I romantically live my dreamy witch life with my husband. He currently completes his drum lessons on this day. We find items to advance our garden or restock on supplies for our homestead. We enjoy a simple lunch or extravagant dinner. Ritualizing the intent behind the foods and spices to honor and align our energy field. On more relaxed Saturdays, I will cook this meal instead of dining out. There is a balance to Kitchen witchery. We enjoy honoring the craftsmanship of others, while also ensuring we pay it forward for ourselves. Every moment of every day is magickal. Root Chakra Saturday reminds us that all our actions should be filled with intent and awareness. For without it, that is how you become lost in robotic programming. Saturday nights are the nights of play. This is where you release your feral, primordial desires. I tend to believe this is why most humans go to the clubs to dance and let their inhibitions go with alcohol. But again, the lesson here is to not get lost in these pleasures without awareness. That is how you awake with a morning of pain, regret, illness and some form of walk of shame.

While sex is not meant to be “scheduled,” Saturdays is one of the best days for sexual alignment and magick. Engaging the root chakra and their most primal form. Engage in a sex rite of gratitude. Be thankful for all you experience in this physical plane and all the earthly pleasures you may not experience in the other worlds. Earth herself is a gift we often take for granted. Cast your seeds and fluids to replenish all she has given you. Be engulfed in the gratitude of love. Complete your weekly ritual with a pleasurable cry of joy, life and fulfillment.

Other gratitude rituals involve leaving offerings for Mother Earth in an outdoor altar, by a sacred tree or bon fire. Breath in the air that gives you life and exhale the energy exchange that provides us all with balance.
