Leo Cycle Lunar Ritual Guide: Cancer New Moon Ritual- July 17th, 2023

Ghouls and Demons! I hope you survived and enjoyed the emotional waving roller coaster that is Cancer Season. I found myself surfacing the deepest of wounds, crying the wettest of tears and laughing the deepest of laughs. I had found myself in a rapid and constant mental state cycle of trauma, rest and rejoice. It was important for all of us to celebrate the triumph of our emotional releases and the depth required not only to face them, but to slay them. I have been “unprepared” for a lack of a better expression. I could barely keep up with any other astrological concepts, other than the moon phases. Of which, I surrendered to letting go. If you follow along consistently, you may have noticed the pause in rituals and lunar memoirs. It was important for me to focus on myself and feeling these feels, not away from any public eye, but with a sense of more freedom, not quite privacy.. as I will share those insights as I “catch up.” I was equally unsure of how to organize or plan my Cancer New Moon Ritual, or if I wanted to continue to pause. I find it important to utilize this energy to express my passion projects, goals, desires and wishes. I find myself as Cinderella, dreaming of a wish, my heart crying out desperately for the life I dream of the most sincere. With that being said, here we are! I have been utilizing my older candle creations more and more for myself. While I equally have been creating more and more for myself. I have been able to release old vessels to reunite one with the Earth when appropriate. I found a flow of new, repurpose and demise. I release the anxiety of loss. For there is beauty in the generation anew.

For this Cancer New Moon, I ritualized my intentions to align with the emotions that have resurfaced, to not only lay them to rest for good, but as an alchemization into my highest timeline. Do not shy away from any vulnerability. Lean into the expressions unapologetically. Give yourself grace. Cry, scream, laugh, yell up to the heavens and out to the void. Allow the ripples of your pain, of your joy and of commands to travel across every inch of the lands. May not one tear be unheard. Allow any intense emotion to overcome you with only necessary control, freeing yourself as you need. Allow yourself to sit with the emotion and flow in and out of you. You are the channel, the antenna. Dial yourself to the frequency of your loveliest tune. I did not engage in much writing or more routine forms of lunar ritual work. I have yet to accomplish the home cleansing routine I typically complete for every New Moon. Allowing myself to focus on the internal residence vs the external. Internal cleansing can be done in a multitude of ways. I suggest Reiki, a nap, a salt bath, laying in a meadow/garden, going for a stroll and enjoying a tasty meal. I would not engage in a task that could be deemed exertive. The focus is on rest. Align yourself to slow down and ride the ways, however they present is not of your concern. The waves themselves may seem fast and exhausting, however when fully surrendered you will simply float along as they carry you. Redirect your nervous system to understandings of safety, comfort and serenity. You may laugh to see how aligned you have already been. How silly you may have acted with the intensity of the sensation. Set intentions that not only allow for rest, but courage. Allow yourself to face fears while knowing and demonstrating the safety, the security and support you have created for yourself.

Engage in a creative or passionate endeavor this New Moon. Intentionally follow suit with this task as passionately, as seriously and devotedly as you can. Allow this endeavor to mirror your manifestation and healing goals. For myself, I am focused on aligning myself with my divine purpose career, with my candle business and dream life-ly routine. My husband and I had a check in with each other on where our needs for ourselves and each other need to be met in order to continue to heal and grow together. We complete these conversations in a variety of ways, however they play out, we do not dismiss the conversation until we have a game plan of what each of us will do as individuals and as a couple. Once an agreement is settled, we celebrate with a ritualized meal.

This Cancer Moon, I roasted a truffle chicken with a parmesan pasta. We shared a longevity wine and toasted to our efforts. My husband and I walked a trail with our puppies and treated our family to the sweet joys of this delightful, nature infested realm. I have found a new routine in how I craft candles for myself and for my business adventures. Starting by passionately diving into two new personal Egyptian Goddess Candles to be announced by the First Quarter. This Cancer Moon reminds us of creating our routine first and all other requirements of us, scheduled secondly. This Leo Season is about YOU being your very own Love of Your Life, your own Soulmate or Twin Flame. The emotional scars of Cancer tend to wave in salt to the wounding in which we put any form of other before ourselves and our dream desire. Do not lay down your sword in hopelessness after a karmic lesson defeated, rather rest your sword as the battle has already been won. For Death guides us to the Heavens. Now that you have arrived, don’t only stay awhile, stay forever. Refuse to be exiled from your Kingdom ever again.

Write, paint or create out your intentions with the emphasis on that Inner Power, Passion of Pure Will. Create a special offering altar. Place upon the altar your written intentions. Offer a plate from your ritual meal with a homemade dessert and glass of wine. Add personalized offerings of incense, herbs, flowers, crystals, divination etc etc. I suggest placing a light you are able to keep on throughout the night of the New Moon. This is the light at the end of your voided tunnel. Ensure you have placed a creation that aligns with your intended endeavors. If it is for a career, relate it to your career. A love interest? Write out a love letter, place a photo or other sentimental expressions. Pour all your magick and soul into this altar. Dress her with all the symbolisms that shine true to your heart of hearts. If you are musical, play the tune on a low volume on a loop throughout the night. Romance this sacred space in celebration of the alignment, of the wish fulfillment, your heart has always dreamed (known) to be destined.
