Cancer Lunar Cycle Ritual Guide: Gemini New Moon June 18th, 2023

Welcome Ghouls and Demons to the Cancer Cycle Ritual Guide! We start this lunar cycle with our Gemini Sun and a Gemini New Moon. I feel as if I am living in the future and the moon cycles are in the past with this skewed shift of events. And yet the magick is, as usually, divinely timed and presented with perfection. It beautiful and frustrating, as I struggle with the Temperance of cycles and have an urge to fast forward. Throughout this year so far, I have truly been shifted to appreciate the process. I have been increasing my understanding that if you rush the process, you ultimately end up getting a Genie wish that is NOT what you meant. But if you allow it to flow and allow the universe, your god, or your inner self to guide you with ease and steadiness, you will find it to be better than you could ever imagine. We think we know what we want or what we need, and yet our soul, our divinity, understands the loving surprise of what is actually best for us. Staying true to your authenticity and understanding that as long as you are balanced within yourself? The world cannot harm you. You can be the Ace of Wands that cannot be melted down, that stands firm to hold the crown, that does not waver within the water and cannot be huffed and puffed to pieces.

I believe our Spring cycle was just that. Conditioning our 9 of Wands, our thickest strength of ourselves, our creative passions and unapologetic authenticity of our truest of truths. Now we move into Cancer season with a Gemini New Moon. This New Moon is the Manifestation of the power behind our throat chakras. Embrace the power, utilize that energy to voice the dream fulfillment that overflows from our Hearts, to our Throats and casted out to the void. Cancer season is all about nurturing the self through a sense of hearth, family and peaceful comfort. Gemini gives that soft, shelled Cancer energy, the strength it needs to not hide, to not pinch when rattled, but to ground within the flow and ripple frequencies of our greatest desires without falling apart, or slipping away into the abyss.

For our ritual this New Moon, it is important to ensure you know your specific super power behind your throat chakra. Which medium aligns most within your soul? For me? I personally believe it to be writing. That is my favorite creative expression. I thoroughly enjoy word play and taking the time to find the right word, to paint the most elaborate image in your minds eye with the power of words. Words are significantly complex and I find I can relate the them and the misunderstandings others project onto them without intellectual reasoning. However, as I have discovered, my voice in itself is the most powerful. Especially in this day and age. People are quicker to listen to a podcast than to read a few pages. This is where you can find a balance to connect your Ancient Dreams to your Modern Land. Identify your voice medium, whether speaking, singing, rapping, hand gestures, imagery, writing etc etc etc. Your voice can look and appear in many ways that maybe you did not believe it would or could. Your voice is the expression of your inner passion. How do you best express yourself in a communicative fashion?

Once you have identified with that medium, if you have not already done so for some time now, find a way to integrate that into your life. If you are just starting out? It may be small steps as in having a conversation or expressing that medium to a close, trusted source of any kind. It could also be very intimate. Maybe you aren’t ready for another source to be present. Practice in isolation in front of a mirror, to a pet or within a journal. These tools can be used to build that inner confidence. When using these tools, focus your mind into believing you are doing so, as if others were watching. Feel yourself get nervous, take the time to comfort yourself. No one is truly watching, but you are practicing that self soothe, that inner parenting that your inner child needs. Do not be embhassased. We are all insane meat suits who believe the illusion of this reality. Nothing truly makes sense as a whole. Do what makes sense to you. And to conclude with an important note, it is significantly important during Cancer season, to ask for help when necessary. Another powerful lesson of throat chakra magick and emotional healing. Cancer energy tends to be that machine of a PTA mom who is always on the go with schedules. While, yes, you are Super Mom, we are not meant to do everything ourselves. It is more than okay to lean on your community, your tribe. If you do not feel as if you have a tribe? That is also okay. There are cycles in life where we feel alone. Do your best to see if you can find any way to not feel alone. Ultimately, everybody has at least someone, it is up to you to be stealthy enough to see that and not weep into self pity as Water Sign energy can tend to do on occasion. (I am a Cancer Rising. I am not coming for anyone saying this. HaHa).

To continue on once our medium is found, and you feel as if you are not a novice within this realm of inner healing and ritual work, you can engage into the next step. For myself? I shifted into the understand that I need to express my voice more often. To quit hiding from the responsibly of my inner power, to let go of the fear of judgement and ridicule from the public and just ramble to whoever will listen. I set an intention to engage in lives on social media, to find a niche that a podcast style outlet may benefit and to simply be as I would virtually or physically. In the “real world” I will talk to a wall and ramble for days. You have to interrupt me or kill me to stop me from the channeled output. That is a distinct characteristic of my energy. Online? Some may understand that, and others have shared they do not view me to hold myself that same way. Which to clarify? Not everyone online is worthy of my time, my energy, and especially not the wisdom and love that comes from my voice. And yet, to be humbled, I have found that my judgement of deeming others unworthy, is exactly why maybe they are worthy. If I am meant to be a leader and teach by example, I cannot exclude even the most insufferable souls. While flipping the coin to equally understanding, those who cannot grasp my message? Can live in confusion, or engage in discussion or debate for clarification. Others in any form, do not get to block me from expressing myself as I am.

How can you ritual these shifts for yourself? I created a deeply personal self love candle for myself to burn. An intent completely necessary for the Cancer energy and a beautiful start to kicking off such an empathetic, shadow, moon ruled cycle. I also mustered up my inner PTA mom and bought a personalized to-do planner, manifestation journal, new authentically aligned tarot decks and re-organized/redecorated my home. We have the Summer Solstice around the corner. With New Moons, or any form of new cycle, I find it necessary to change your space. To ignite the powerful energy of Feng Shui. As stated in other lunar rituals, I do find the New Moon to be an important time for house cleaning/cleansing with minor adjustments to the home to add decor for each sun cycle, month or lunar energy. It can truly depend on what I feel is needed based on the entirety of the energy of our realm. When it comes to seasonal changes? That’s when I find a need to do more large rearrangements. As during Spring/Ostara, we have our heftiest Spring Cleaning as more of a preparation for the life cycle; during Summer/Litha, we have our more fun set up to live the life cycle. This is the time where the fire pits become the hang outs. Maybe you bring out the glass water pitchers and create fruit herbal/healing infused water. The focus is not just on cleaning and getting the dust out from Winter, like we do with Spring. It is time to liven up the place for one huge celebration. Bring in spiritually aligned house plants, new artwork (maybe even hang up your own), or find summer cooking tools. Anything you feel is necessary to bring that loving comfort of Grandma’s House into your home.

With all the tools I listed above, for myself this New Moon, not only does my house have a variety of different elements to create a new balance and protection, my inner temple has a new foundation to flow my routine into that of my dreams. I have my planner of which, I set intentions for when I will sit and build my schedule. I believe week to week, outside of special events, is the best time frame. If I have to plan it out daily or too often, I’ll become overwhelmed. If I plan too far ahead and life changes too much? I will be even more overwhelmed than before. Set yourself into a flow of presence that allows you to be organized in your day to day, without the rigidity of blocking yourself from the opportunities that occur seemingly random. I practiced with the older June dates of this planner to feel out exactly how I wished to communicate with myself utilizing this planner and other tools. Keep in mind Gemini is all about social networking, Cancer is all about family and loving socialization. Connect these two super powers. Within my planner and journal, I wrote out people I know I can confidently network with. I wrote out my dreams, that have been intended since we started this new year. But now? We are not just dreaming. How can I network myself into making these dreams into a problem solved executed idea? Again, embracing that inner Karen, that inner PTA mom. Get that shit done for yourself and ask for the manager of anyone who dares to question the divine right of your destiny. Others may make you feel as if they have power over you. Ultimately, the only one who can stop you? Is you. Where there is a will, there’s a way. And Slow and Steady, Wins the Race.
