Welcome Ghouls and Demons to this Lunar Cycle’s Ritual Inspiration! The Aries Cycle may have felt like quite the doozy with those Mars Opposition transits. Or perhaps shedding the face portion of your old skin was quite intense. I would argue that shedding the mask is the hardest part of any growth phase, particularly within a Year of the Serpent collective theme. I know I personally broke out and had to tend to some serious skin care after the Full Moon in Libra. Shedding, healing and evolving are not always the prettiest expressions. Think about how a wound heals and becomes a flaky and dry scab towards the end. Self care is a crucial part of this Year of the Snake. Taking your transformation in strides and ensuring at each phase you pause to nurture the rebirth part of your soul. While we may not feel “fully” reborn yet, it is also important to tap into the layers of scales, rebirths and aspects of the soul that are rebirthing/evolving at what time. This will look differently for everyone overall, as we are all on our own personal journeys. However, there are always collective themes. Yet, simultaneously there are a variety of themes within each collective theme. For instance, Taurus is not just about hard work, dedication and Earthly elements. Taurus is also about beauty, harmony and all the Venusian themes as well. How can you integrate all areas of each energy? Just as we all have our own coffee routine, you will need to determine how much cream and how much sugar are perfect for your daily ritual and elixir of life through this lunar cycle.
To redirect, I connect an aspect of Aries energy and the Aries Lunar Cycle to elements of a “New Born” phase of being. The shedding of the skin in connection to our Lunar Spirit Guide can be related to the skin that peels away after a baby is born. Now that we have birthed into this realm, it is time to engage in the later stages of the New Born development and perhaps some areas of early stage toddlerhood. With all Earth energies, grounding and building a foundation of bone strength and stability is significantly important. Depending on your pace, intention and all of the above that is personal to you, you may feel you are learning to crawl, walk or jump. Either way you are figuring out the best way to move physically and building a new level of strength. As the fun and exciting creative ideas of Aries season began to blossom, now we have Taurus here to show us, guide us and integrate us into the disciplinary dedication it takes to tend to those ideas and defend them with stubborn beauty and love. As well, to a luxuriously high standard.
