Pumpkin Head-

This curation was crafted from the inspiration of All Hallow’s Eve, Halloween or Samhain. Built with a Jack O’Lantern Pumpkin Face Rum base and topped with a black magick bowl. The Jack O’Lantern base is filled with coffee grounds and graveyard dirt, not only to add weight for balance, but enhance an aspect of jar spell work within the candle magick. This candle could be perfect for Samhain workings. However, there are benefits to engaging with this energy or initiating this source of magick into your life through any Scorpionic expression. Samhain/Halloween is during Scorpio season for a reason. It is the mark of the end of the Witch’s Year. The gestation period between death and rebirth. The reunion of the material and the spiritual.

When creating this candle, I did not strictly have Halloween/Samhain in mind. I wanted to express the connection of Autumn, of Ancestry and of gratitude. Expressing the entirety of the season, without limiting oneself to one Sabbath Holy-day. In America, and other cultures, pumpkins are utilized all the way through the Winter Solstice. Perhaps not quite in Jack O’Lantern form, but pumpkin magick nonetheless. Attach your own symbolism within the pumpkin or Jack O’Lantern presentation. I associate the Jack O’Lantern with protection, as well as a creative torch within the darkness. Which can build a bridge to Hekate if one so chooses to make such connection/alignment. As well, the harshly carved facial expression on this Jack O’Lantern can represent either Martian or Plutonian characteristics of the Scorpio energy/season.

This candle is a perfect talisman to protect and guide oneself into the Underworld. To connect with their unconscious or subconscious self. As well as, connect to the aspects of their soul from ancestry or a past life. What parts of you do you wish to resurrect? And which parts of you do you wish to put to rest? What can you learn from the darkness within? What light can you shine in the darkness that surrounds? All lovely themes to utilize during a Scorpio New Moon Lunar Phase, a Scorpio Solar Phase, to connect within your personal Scorpio energy expressed within your birth chart or to invoke Scorpio qualities and gifts within yourself. The sky is the limit in all you can conjure from this vast sign.
