Nightmare Before Christmas-

A candle created from the base of a decorative wine holder. This wine holder was a gift from my sister Kori. A friend of mine that I had from the time I was 2 yrs old. She is the person in which I have friend tattoos with. Hers a butterfly, mine a death moth. This candle was completed in representation of healing that betrayal wound. I believed my sister and I to have an authentic bond. A bond which shattered immediately upon me starting my spiritual journey and being more openly expressive about who I hid myself to be. I was shown all the people who love me as I am, and all the ones who love me for who they want me to be. I realized my masks and my faults in these relationships fading away. They were in love with a facade. It was a mixture of my deception and their projections/assumptions. This candle represents a lesson in emotional mastery, in healing thyself to meet others where they are at, without expending thyself. A lesson in staying true to you.
