My Bloody Valentine:

This creation has been one I have sat on for quite some time. I have had this pink flower pot for about two years now. Never finding just the right experience for her to manifest. I had contemplated a variety of designs. None of which felt right. That was until February of 2025. During my February Flea Market, I met a wonderful artist named Natasha. She was connected to the Victorian era just as I was. I adored her booth and purchased a beautiful grey gown with pink and red roses. There was a 90’s grunge vibe to the outfit. However, it equally fit with the Gothic Victorian essence as well. Through our encounter, she gifted me two of her prints that she felt were right up my alley. And they were. Her crying Cherub was loudly calling out to me from the moment I held him. I instantly connected him to this pink flower pot and was ready to bring such a vision to life. I finally found the perfect design to fit this vessel.

I originally envisioned a floral border to surround the Cherub on the vessel. However, none of the flowers wanted to sit the way I wanted them to. From there, I accidentally dripped a bit of wax over the edge and onto the print. A happy accident indeed. With the color schemes and obvious connection to a Valentine or Cupid spirit, I started to hear a variety of pop punk songs expressing their Bloody Valentine. As well, I saw a Jensen Ackles scene from My Bloody Valentine pop into my mind’s eye. Every detail was coming together perfectly. I wanted this candle to embody the Love of Aphrodite and Cupid. I wanted there to be a sense of passion and healing. However, I wanted to ensure it was directed towards self fulfillment and the filling of one’s cup. There was a significance to the Ace of Cups Tarot within this curations energy. As I felt the essence of Aphrodite around me, I filled this vessel (cup) to the brim with elements of Love, Beauty, Protection and Venusian Justice.

Scent: Strawberry, Vanilla, Lavender, Cedar, Copaiba and Lime

Intention: Self Love, Healing, Goddess Empowerment and/or Divine Feminine
