Gemini:

This gorgeous black trophy like vase has come into my life on more than one occasion. This is the third one I have received. The first one was a blank design. The second had two dancing maidens etched into the glass. I had designed the second one with an aquamarine color. The beautiful woman who ordered that candle was the first woman to Crown me an Artist. It was the first time in my life I even considered that label. I had often thought that artists were painters or people who could draw/illustrate. I knew I was creative, but never once considered myself an artist. Not until I received her review from my candles. It was that moment of initiation that I realized all I do comes from a place of art and self expression. Now here I am, with this vessel coming into my path once more. A third expression of this vessel. However, a twin to the Aquamarine one I crafted 3 years prior. This third trophy vessel was founded and gifted to me by my beloved friend, Todd. I recall being geeked as I remembered seeing this glass piece before. How wonderful it is that I have a third one bestowed upon me.

As I pondered about what I would create with this third variation, I focused deeply on the maidens. It felt necessary to connect this to Gemini. The symbolism of two and twins was quite significant and apparent at the time. I recalled all the butterfly colors I had looked up in regards to a Gemini theme I had been creating for another project of mine. I needed the greens, the aquas and the yellows. It was quite the specific color palette. There was more of an Earth tone than I had expected. Feeling into a sense of tropics. The energy of the brink of Summertime. A combination of the essence of May and June that embodies the Gemini energy. The airy bridge between the Earth of Taurus and the Water of Cancer. A right of passage into the bright light of the Solstice.
