This special Pastel Goth piece is dedicated to my beloved girly pop Capricorn, Ashley. Ashley has been an inspiring force of self expression. She is head strong, the most feminine of femmes and a power house designed to take on her world. She is a Princess who has grown into a shining Queen. She has inspired me along my journey to be THE aesthetic no matter which aesthetic I choose. She guides all into feeling like the main character no matter their unconventional nature. A true Capricorn stellium embracing the shadowy self in all her glory.

Battling to choose herself throughout one of the most karmic of relationships, she reached out for a reading. I provided her a detailed channeled tarot reading before her wedding. It was a difficult reading, and one I was unsure if I should share. However, the truth will always find a way to come out. I had crafted her a Barbie Bride Candle. The wedding candle I planned, never came to fruition. In hindsight, it could have been my own procrastination, however I like to believe my intuition guided me away from such a project. There was never a “right” fit to create it. However, the Barbie Candle came together effortlessly. Ashley lit her candle often and utilized the energies within it. Mediating and processing all that was provided within the candle and the tarot reading. She had her wedding. I believed the tools and insights provided allowed the healing necessary to move forward with her decisions in life. However, she went to an empowHERment event. I could see the rise of her self love, her self worth and the Divine Goddess within her. Her Barbie candle vessel had broke within a week of her going to the event. We had discussion on the interpretation of what that would mean. We concluded the spell within the candle was complete. The spell of self love, divinity and balance. I cannot recall the exact timeline, however it was not much later she filed for divorce.

Excitedly I expressed my happiness for Ashley rising above and finding the strength to stand up for her true heart desires. She decided to quit settling despite how uncomfortable the journey may be. She has struggled and had to start completely over in ways I know she never imagined. The emotional struggle as well, is not an easy battle. And yet, she has flowed through this turbulence with such grace. Resurrecting my Ribcage Self Love Candle and transforming it into the Underworld Goddess that is our Barbie Girl, the Capricorn Barbie. Utilizing symbolism of life, death and rebirth within the vessel, she arose from the ashes designed to destroy her. Cat-walking her way through the flames, her fiery, passionate Aries Moon, cannot be trampled. Cannot be stopped. This candle is intended to continue to allow her to rise with grace and to burn any energy that foolishly attempts to tilt her crown. Never again.
