Bastet Original Fill #1

*Written below is the channeled Candle Story behind this Curation*

Bastet Original Fill #1-

After a journey to a cheesy Mystery Town USA shop in Mackinaw City, where I purchased a Bastet statue without recollection for who she was.. I only knew her to be Egyptian for obvious reasonings. I had, at a young age, an obsession with Ancient Egypt, as it seems many folks do. I recognized the statue, but it was a distant memory. Bought to add to my Spookshelf (bookshelf). I kept all my spooky and most likely haunted possessions from my travels on these shelves. Not realizing I had been maintaining an altar the entire time of my existence. When getting deeper into my candle making craft. I knew I wanted to create something special for deities I felt I was channelling. A much different approach than how I originally began my practice. Without working with deities at all. (I was “better” than that. Because I believed in “science” and “realism.” I was not going to get lost down the rabbit hole. And we see how well that worked out. Atheistic Satanists and other anti-mysticism beliefs do a disservice to all you can discover. It is wise to maintain an anchor with metaphor. But do not fear theism as fact.) I digress. I found an item at a salvation army with yellow beads. It appeared to be a cage to some degree, probably a candle holder. I created into a tomb for my Bastet statue. Bastet had also been appearing within my witch subscription box. It was apparent I needed to connect with her. The first fill of this vessel was strictly the intended representation for honoring her, just as I had Lucifer.
