Luna:

I had found this silver bowl at a thrift store approximately 3, maybe 4 years ago. It was a metal bowl. I firmly believed it would be a great candle one day. Unsure of what to do with it, she sat on my shelves. Constantly being grabbed and placed upon towers. Multiple attempts at finding where she belonged. I couldn’t bring myself to get rid of her. Which I had done with a few other vessels that ended up not being suited for a candle. I continued to hold onto her. Finally, through creative desperation, I decided to pour her as a bowl. I am not sure what I originally desired to do with her. Or why I wasn’t pleased with her remaining a bowl. However, at this moment, I was finally accepting of her fate. I loved the crisp silver she radiated. I tend to be more of a gold person. Especially nowadays. Yet, back in childhood, I always preferred silver or white gold. I still am not the biggest fan of gold jewelry with white diamonds. I firmly believe if you are going to go with a classic diamond, you need a silver or white gold band. This bowl reminded me of a gorgeous silver band or chain for a beautiful iridescent diamond. With that, I had to pour her as pure of a white as I could with my wax.
I knew I wanted her to be a Lunar Candle. I connected to that intention immediately upon gazing at the silver shine. I wasn’t sure what her design would be. Settling for another crescent moon. A classic and signature design I have perfected over the last 2 years. However, I didn’t want her to be a signature. I wanted, needed her to be something new. I craved a creative pull to push myself into a new design. I had a large enough surface of wax. I needed to evolve once more. From there I envisioned the Triple Moon. Hearing the voice of Hekate dance through my mind. It wasn’t as simple as I had thought to carve the Triple Moon Sigil into the candle top with the Crystals. It took me a few dozen tries to get it just right. In the end, I couldn’t have been more proud of the outcome. She is Gorgeous. She Glistens and she is Free. Free to wax and wane as she so pleases. Only gracing us with her wholeness in her timing.
