Sagittarius New Moon Lunar Cycle Ritual Guide

Welcome Ghouls and Demons to the Lunar Cycle Ritual Guides! This Sagittarius cycle is strictly in alignment with the December energies of Sagittarius and fades into the Winterous Death of the Capricorn energies. At this time I feel as if this Sagittarian cycle is the archer arrow or firework being shot into the heavens. During the Scorpio Cycle with the transition of Pluto into the Aquarian energies, we felt a radical shift into a rebirth of authenticity. It is now a time for us to honor our purest selves and transform internally and externally into our Divine Prophecy. The Phoenix we embodied has died and been turned to ashes. From those ashes will rise the Sagittarius. I would express that the Sagittarius that rises from these ashes is designed to create an explosion or shooting star effect into the cosmos. That the trail left from the arrow is our energetic cord or bridge between Earth and Heaven. That the Sagittarius, the inner child, the prophet holds the key in our connection from the spiritual realm to our human experience. Our anchor to our soul as we embark on such an adventure. A typical cycle of the year as we surrender into the shadows, the underworld and death of the Sun. However, this year, this season has a strong emphasis on the final blunt truths that we shall face, acknowledge, integrate or weave into this chapter. The chapter that we will present to the Devil, Our Saturn Karma, the All Mighty Capricorn. Will we be worthy of our coronation or will we remain enchained by the illusions of our own victimization?

I envision the final scenes of Lord of the Rings. Throughout the story, we see that a main reason for the problems within Middle Earth, is solely related to the fact that certain characters were in denial and refusal of their position of power. Their divine role of truth. By the end, each character concluded their Hero’s journey to align them with their destiny, a destiny they could no longer deny. There has been a larger cycle concluded at this time. The war or battle is over. We are being coronated into the next cycle or phase of our lives. Ending one adventure, only to begin another. Equally we are back to the beginning where we gain remembrance that all of this was simply an adventure to begin with. Sagittarius reminds us of the adventurer within us all. Every soul who consented to a human experience for whichever intended purpose they so felt called or were called to conduct. Every adventure has an individual purpose. Pluto in Aquarius will highlight which direction of soul transformation that is to be for each individual. As the individual transforms, so will the culture surrounding the collective. As each individual honors their rightful role within the world, so will the balance of the collective return. Just as in Lord of the Rings the Return of the King. Only with the rightful King on the Throne will there be Peace, Justice and Healing throughout our Realms.

I cannot deny the political theme present, however I want to make it clear that this does not have to do with politics in the superficial manner that many mortals believe or connect. This is metaphorical, philosophical and prophesied on an individual basis. It is correlated to the political philosophies within yourself and your Power of Will. It is finding the King, Queen, Emperor, Empress, God or Goddess within yourself and what that means for your life, your soul journey. With your soul in alignment and leading upon the proper throne, only then will balance be restored. Only then will the bridge to heaven remain illuminated. This is our time to solidify the opening for ourselves. To nourish the connection and light the enteral flame. To ignite the torch that will guide us through all darkness as the world rests into the astral slumber.

It is time for us to write the final conclusions to our previous adventure. To put this cycle to rest and wear our Rightful Crown. This the final leg of our journey where we are to return home. Where we present newly transformed selves to our family, our people etc etc. Where we face judgement from the Devil King himself. Where we rejoice in all we have overcome with the celebrations of the holiday season. Where we come together despite any of our shortcomings and rejoice in gratitude. Whether you have a bountiful, safe and secure Winter and holiday season or a stressful, struggling season will depend on the work you have done to receive Absolution or to face the consequences of your lack of Discipline and Truth.

This is not to fear monger, but to be genuine in self reflection. Ultimately, we are to not be afraid. We are to be courageous and headstrong through our journeys. This is not to dwell in self loathing or pity for falling short. This is a time to be strictly honest with ourselves. For one cannot escape the truth within the Mirror of Capricorn. Will you reflect balance, authenticity, truth and retribution? Or will you reflect bravado, fraudulence and delusion? The Scale of the Heart and the Feather do not lie. You cannot manipulate your way out of the Judgment, nor the Karma that you rightfully deserve. This is a time where we gain the final moments of death, the harsh truths and clarity of our grande Waning Crescent as we await the New Moon and New Sun on the Winter Solstice. As well, this is the time where we gain moments of insight and initiations of manifestation on how we can direct our focus for the next renewal within the Spring. This is a powerfully reflective time. Embrace the blunt and optimistic side of Sagittarius and present your story with fiery creativity, independence and curiosity. Find joy in accepting the failures as alignments for evolution. Embody the friendly competition of overcoming one’s adversarial opponent. It is up to you if you view Capricorn as the literal, Christian Devil. Or if you view him as your Black Belt Sensei, who only wishes you to be the best you can possibly become. Optimistic Perspective, Truth and Gratitude will be your guide through this Lunar Cycle.

New Moon Sagittarius Ritual:  “Weave Your Web of Wyrd” December 1st, 2024

For this New Moon Ritual, there will be less focus on direct aspects of manifestation. Our Web of Wyrd is our fate and all the possibilities of the world and Wyrd means to control one’s fate. We are in control of our own destinies. Which can sound contradicting. In layman’s terms, we have a destiny that can be viewed as the destiny or purpose our soul signs up for when we incarnate in this realm, but it is essentially up to us and our free will to achieve said destiny. Anyone can fail their mission, for any reason. I tend to not quite believe that if one fails their mission or misses their destiny that they are eternally entrapped in this realm. I believe it to be a bit more complex than that. I believe it is a possibility to entrap one’s soul into this realm eternally, but there would be more reason than a “failed” mission. But this can depend on which belief system you subscribe to in regards to your personal understandings of the Universe and the Soul. I digress. For this New Moon, while setting intentions can still be relevant and significant to do at this time, I would focus on intentions you have previously casted out. Not necessarily brand New intentions. But if you feel the need to do so? I do not see the harm nor will I ever tell someone to go against their genuine intuitive magick and needs. As stated in the introduction, we are writing out our story and tying up the loose ends of our cycle to present to the Gods. We are connecting ourselves to the Web of Wyrd, aligning our Will with that of the Divine or God’s Will. This is where we aim and shoot our arrow to lead the way as our bridge from Earth to Heaven. The Web of Wyrd can be viewed as the bridge, if it helps you to visual what we are weaving. Just as their are weaved rope bridges, we will essentially be doing the same thing with our intentions. Again, I believe it would be most helpful to connect intentions you have been cultivating and ready to close out. However, as new insights come to mind, it can be beneficial to interweave them within the solid intentions.

To begin this ritual, it will be up to you to decide how you wish to creatively execute the symbolism and which medium you would prefer to do so. You can use rope or yarn to knit, crochet or weave a bridge, while focusing the mind on your intentions with each loop, knot or weave. (Essentially, this can be related to creating a scarf, if you are not savvy enough to make a literal bridge representation. The scarf can then be tied from one end of your altar to the other. Or another representation that suits you best.) You could draw out the Web of Wyrd Rune on a canvas or whichever size of paper/poster board you deem fit. Use crayons, paint, markers or any of the above to create your visual. Once the Web of Wyrd is created, you can add stickers, printed cut outs or draw visual representations of your intentions and attach them (securely) to the Web. Another example would be to either weave a basket, or purchased a weaved basket, and write out your intentions and place them within the Weaved Basket of Wyrd to be stored on your altar.

The creative sky is the limit. It is important to connect through creative mediums, however that looks and aligns for you. You may not feel like a creative soul, and that is just fine. Find the creativity within your authenticity. Even the most “mundane,” “boring,” or “quantitive” expressions are still creative in their own right. It is simply different. All mathematical graphs, excel sheets, business presentations, computer programs etc etc etc are all artistic. They are simply a different aesthetic. We are human beings, the creators within the Earth Realm. We cannot forget that, despite how another may judge or deem it, we are all creators. Some are more stereotypically flamboyant than others. Some find artistic beauty in the simplistic and grayscales of life. Do not force yourself to be someone or something you are not, but do not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. If you have always wanted to try something, when it comes to creative expression, now would be a great alignment to start. Trust any intuitive guides to follow through as you truly feel. Lean into the curiosity, courage and sense of adventure to do so. Sagittarius is a fearless energy. Thou shalt not be afraid to be who they are, who they have always wanted to be, who they are fighting to become, or who they have always been destined to be.

First Quarter Pisces Ritual:  “Reveal Your Emotional World”

December 8th, 2024

For this First Quarter Ritual, it will be important to integrate and reveal your emotional/inner world with your outer world. This is a step towards the finality of balance and the conclusion of all the inner, spiritual work we have completed throughout the course of the last astrological year, and however many other years or cycles we have been initiated into this expression of being. Pisces represents the totality of the Universe. The Light and the Shadow. The Surface and the Depths. The Dreams and the Nightmares. If you have been on this self discovery journey for quite some time, you will be familiarized with the treacherous climb from Hell to Heaven. Depending on where you are in your journey, will depend at which level of the pole you have reached at this time. Some may have reached the mountain peak towards the North Node of Dreams and others may be down towards the South Node of Nightmares. It truly is up to you, your perspective and the disciplined truth you have provided for yourself. This can be a time to be vulnerable with yourself and the world. Wherever you are on your journey, again, do not fret nor be afraid. You are exactly where you are meant to be. We all reach moments of clarity at the most pivotal of moments. Just as every plant has their season, so does every human soul. Some may be early bloomers and some late, but all flowing at their desired pace. With that being said, it is up to you to pick up the pace or slow the pace as you need or feel fit. Which will also provide you with insights on your limitations. Whether healthy limitations for your own protection and safety or limitations in which you are meant to break free and overcome. The balance of the Mother and the Father. The child and the Matured Adult. The intuitive knowing of discernment in trusting what to do, when to do it and how to do it.

This ritual can be expressive and external or it can be calm and internal. However you feel best to come into such awareness. The climax of expression may not be present until the Full Moon. As we are in the First Quarter, we are simply now starting to Take Action, from all we gathered at the New Moon. With water energies, I tend to find any connection to water to be vital. This can include something as simple as a cup of moon water or a bath. Or as something more grande as a river, lake or ocean. Whatever you have access to or feel comfortable connect with, is just fine. With the healing power of the water, enchant the connection with an intention of integration. Ask the water spirits to bring your inner world of emotions to the surface. Call upon them to rise from the depths.

As a side note, I will equally associate Pisces with a mirror. As I can connect all water energies with in a sense. Water being the first mirror and human connection to reflection, physically and emotionally. You may face a mirror while ingesting the water or you may speak the enchantment to yourself in the mirror prior to your bath or deep dive into a larger body of water. If you are in the Northern cold, you may find a frozen river or lake to sit next to and speak the enchantment into the reflection of the ice while you meditate upon your request.

This can also be a beautiful time to initiate the reveal of your emotional world to a trusted friend, family member or spouse. Be sure that this person can truly be trusted and is not a Siren calling you out to see. It can be tricky and intimidating to express your inner world externally. The first step of the expression, I would urge to be secured in private with an individual approach first and then a second step of connecting with a truly trusted peer. As a warning to everyone, including myself, you must remain protected, especially of your vulnerability. Vulnerability is a superpower when guarded with strength. Keep a hidden lock and key to your vulnerability or enchant yourself with a protective shield to guard your heart, while remaining transparent. Become bulletproof glass.

Equally this can be a time to plan out how you will build your emotional world and well being into your daily life. Your emotional self needs to have a priority within your day to day routine and flow of life. How can you show up for yourself at this time? How can you assert boundaries within yourself and others? What changes can you make to relieve yourself of any guilt with putting yourself first, as the core essence of your existence? If you feel called to do so, refine your Web of Wyrd and add these integrations into your Web, if they were not placed there already. Or place a cup of water, with the intention to rise your inner world to the surface (Kundalini Rise), upon your altar next to your Web of Wyrd. Express gratitude for your emotional self, as well as your physical, mental and spiritual self. Embrace your wholeness. Allow the Sun to shine Romance, through the depths, upon the entirety of who you are.

Full Moon Gemini Ritual:  “Reconnect With Your Wholeness”

For this Full Moon Ritual, there is a need for acceptance. Acceptance of self and honor within your role in the Universe. Within your place in the puzzle of life. We are still experiencing a Gemini Jupiter Retrograde and those themes of reflection and release may present themselves at this time. Equally Gemini ruled Mercury, goes direct today after a another retrograde season. Connecting this Full Moon Phase, with the season Waning Crescent phase we can see a reflection upon the dualisms of life. We may find ourselves playing Devil’s Advocate and reassessing both sides to a situation. This is important when assessing discernment, balance and truth. It is typically the center perspective that is the most grounded and unbiased of them all. It is important to stick to the factual calculations of life and accept one’s truest of truths. Attach this perspective with Jupiter’s Retrograde and we can equally assess such biases on a collective, authoritative and subliminal scale. It is time to create our own code to our lives. To reprogram any Matrix programming and walk forward wholeheartedly. Embodying the perfect mixture of both sides. The Left and the Right. The White and the Black. The Masculine and the Feminine.

This Full Moon Ritual is all about releasing anything and everything that incites self doubt, shame or guilt in showing up for ourselves as Full as the Moon. It is important to remind ourselves that we are already whole. We do not need any sort of “other” to fulfill us or complete us. We are whole within ourselves first and foremost. Anything or anyone else is only an addition to the already merging of our souls. Instead of weighing out the sides of the scale, we will become the centered Fulcrum that stabilizes the assessments placed upon our Pans. Whether the scale shifts towards one side or the other, we remain. However, if the scale tips too far to one side, then the entirety of us falls. It is important for us to remain open to new ideas and explore our world through mental interactions and new experiences. To come to our own personal conclusions instead of taking someone else’s word for it.

All the above can be achieved through honoring the complexity within yourself. Honoring all spectrums of your needs and by embracing those who are different from you. Gemini Rules Mercury or Mercury Rules Gemini. Some may say potato, some may say potato. At the root of it, it is all the same. Simply preference or perspective. For this Full Moon, insights regarding these themes may come to the surface. Perhaps in connection with Jupiter, you may see where your biases are limiting your Jupiter Magick and Abundance. Perhaps you will realize why the Glorious Jupiter has sent you a collection of storms for your evolution. I could go on a limb to stay that Saturn Judges your Karma and Jupiter Executes it through his influence of personal growth and expansion, in a sense. And with Mercury going direct at this time, it is the perfect alignment for clarity. To release any strings that are spinning you backwards into old habits. For you to communicate these releases with the energies that require such communication or simply communicate these releases within yourself. This will appear differently for each person and for each insight attained.

To ritualize your release, I suggest a cord cutting ritual. It can be a simple cord cutting ritual with pillar candles and string. You can do one for each necessary release or you can create a mass cord cutting by carving every detail onto larger candles. This can depend on preference, personal beliefs in execution of cord cutting or supplies available. For a mass cord cutting you can have multiple candles connected together, like dynamite, on one side and a single candle on the other. The single candle represents you and the bundle of candles represents everything you are releasing yourself from at this time. Again, any energies, beliefs or energetic cords that incites doubt, guilt or shame in showing up for yourself. Any energies that do not nourish your emotional world and any energies that inhibit your personal growth. We are re-coding our programming. This can be viewed as the virus sweep and cleanse portion of our ritual.

If you wish to add a layer of cleansing to this ritual, that can be beneficial. Use your intuition and discernment to decide what it is you need. Everyone will need something different, as always. You may wish to conduct a ritual cleansing bath while the cords are cutting. (Please burn your candles safely and in eyes view). Or perhaps you engage in a smoke cleansing ritual as each level of the candle burns down. You may engage in a grounding meditation in front of your candles within a cleansing circle. There is a variety of ways to protect your energy and cleanse your energy as you complete this release. Others may not feel the need to do anything while the cords are cutting, and that is just fine. However, I would suggest to at least  cleanse after the cord cutting, in some way. How you choose to add to your ritual is up to your personal needs.

A final ritualization or addition to your spell workings can be connected with the cord cutting or it can be a separate spell either done before or after or even instead of the cord cutting. Just as we created a Web of Wyrd for what we wish to integrate into our Destiny, now we can create an Orlog Web. I have come to understand that the difference between Orlog and Wyrd, is that Orlog represents that which cannot be changed and Wyrd is the fate that is to come. Your Wyrd can change, but your Orlog cannot. Now, I have interpreted this to mean that the Orlog is your past, your primordial essence, your genetics and all the circumstances that are outside your control. Wyrd is your actions to alter your destiny to be the Captain of your Future. Wyrd means to be in control of one’s fate, Orlog is the history of it all. This can have a variety of interpretations and there are some who do not agree with my understanding. If you do not resonate or have a different understanding, please trust your judgment but also be open to this perspective. Again, we are at a time of expansion and opening our mind to new possibilities. Not everything needs to be concrete for us to attain wisdom from the story within it. Just as fables are not quite accurate, they provide us with a necessary nourishment within the mind.

I digress. For our Orlog Web, we can utilize a Web of Orlog or you can utilize a Web of Wyrd or another symbolic tree representation. I would not utilize your Web of Wyrd from the New Moon, but again, if you feel a need to do so, for a reason I may not understand, no one is to stop you. I simply do not recommend it. To mix them, would be to cut the cord of the fate you are manifesting and executing. With the Orlog Web, we are releasing ourselves from the Past that Haunts us. Energetic cords we have carried along with us, that do not represent who we have become or are becoming. It is time to release our old selves. We are entering the Death Season. This includes putting our present past self and other relevant past selves to rest. Just as you were creative with your Web of Wyrd, be creative with your Orlog Web. However, instead of pinning and weaving what you wish to integrate into your destiny, you are connecting that of which you need to disconnect from. Any old ways that no longer serve you or the collective. Just because something is rooted in tradition, does not mean that it is healthy, correct or necessary for the future. Capricorn is the sign of honorable, precise and necessary tradition. Not tradition for tradition sake. Sagittarius is the philosopher that provides such wisdom to the Capricorn. As we are about to transition into a new Sun sign, it is important to keep this in mind at this time.

You can have your Orlog Web done before your cord cutting ceremony begins. Once the ceremony begins, you can then rip apart your Orlog Web. If you wish, you can have a fire to place the remaining pieces within. Either way, be cautious when working with fire. This can be established with a bon fire, fire pit or fire place setup. Whichever fire safe space you have or can create at this time. If you cannot have a roaring fire, use a fire safe bowl and simply light them with a lighter and allow the pieces to turn to ashes. You may create your Orlog Web as the cords are cutting if that is a better timing for yourself. And then burn them as the cord cutting reaches its climax. Or you can wait until after all cords are cut to create the Orlog and release the Orlog Web once any blocked cords are terminated. Feel into your needs and honor the flow of your own personal sequence.

Not that we wish to create a never ending ritual, this Lunar cycle is significant for that of which we need to put to rest and carry with us into the Spirit Realm and bring with us into the next life. It is ensuring the integrity of the Solar Body as we ascend into our next cycle. With that being said, this could also be a great time to create a new code for yourself. Within your Grimoire, perhaps you create a new symbolic code map for yourself. Perhaps you disconnect from tradition sigils and create personalized ones of your very own. Perhaps you give old sigils a new meaning that is personal to you, that no one can have awareness of. As we continue to reprogram ourselves, after the virus sweep, it will be beneficial to put up new coding in place. Protective coding as well.

To close out the ritual, perhaps you end with a protection spell. Or simply meditate into awareness of where you need better spyware and make note to do on another more aligned day for yourself. It will be important to rest after such a release, but one cannot quite rest in peace if they are left with open wounds or vulnerable openings. Make sure you are energetically safe after your release. Enough to be able to rest soundly. And then when you have the strength to do so, remember to get back to the necessary work and armor your soul and ward your sacred space.

Last Quarter Virgo/Libra Ritual:  “Absolve Balance”

December 22nd-23rd, 2024

For this Last Quarter Ritual, it feels like the beginning of the end. We transition out of the Sagittarius Sun and into a Capricorn Sun on the final release of this Fiery Lunar Cycle. It is the final sparks of the dimmed coals burning out before darkness sets in. At this time we are also into the second and third day of Yule. Our darkest days are with us now. We are in the depths of Death. Awaiting the glimmer of the conception at the rebirth of the Sun. The 1st day of the Winter Solstice is the Death, the crucifixion, in one sense of the meaning. Three (full) days later, the Sun is Reborn on the 25th of December. I like to connect this to the time of ultimate death, the three days in the afterlife and then on the 25th the rebirth is the conception into new life. The collision of the sperm and the egg. One of our many gestation periods. However, equally this can be the time of birth, where the Great Goddess provides us with the Return of the King. Another expression of rebirth in the sense that the Maiden becomes the Mother and the Godly Soul becomes Human. We all experience these dualisms of death, gestation, rebirth and evolution. The mirroring of the left and right pans of the scale. The complex infinity dance that is our life experiences.

As we enter the beginning of the end and the end of the beginning, our hearts shall be weighed against the lightness of a feather. That judgement will catapult us into the next phase of our lives starting at the Astrological New Year in Aries. Regardless of our judgment, it is also a time for celebration. For each of us grows each year. Whether it is a millimeter or a foot, that does not matter in the grande scheme of it all. Even if you do not win the Marathon, in comparison to the other runners, you won for yourself. It is important to celebrate your accomplishments and not dwell on your short comings. It is a time to accept where you fell short with grace and use it as motivation to become stronger and more efficient. Just as with each generation, wisdom is carried forward. However, it is not quite the time to fret upon it. The Capricorn season will bring us the necessary work ethic. For now, acknowledgment is key. Accountability is necessary.

As we await the rebirth of the Sun, it is time to absolve our balance. Accept the forgiveness bestowed upon us to carry on. Release the karmic debt we have paid and further the alignment and leveled essence of our souled scale. This time of year, with the Yule holiday season, it is vital to remain in a state of gratitude and self love, regardless of disappointments or future sentences. For this Last Quarter, our ritual will be in connection with any Yule Rituals. However you are choosing to celebrate this holiday season, ensure you are celebrating yourself. Leave offerings of gratitude upon your altar to your ancestors, spirit guides and gods. Provide a reward for yourself that is to scale for the work you have done. Do not frivolously reward yourself with a Blue Ribbon, if you wholeheartedly know you deserve a Black or Last Place Ribbon. This is not to shame you. Nor embrace a coddling of participation trophies. Even someone who is in last place, still gave their all, with where they were at, at the time of the race. If you feel you did not put in the necessary effort, take note, accept any karma that will come, but appreciate the renewal to try again with the wisdom you have received. Yule is a time of blessings and presents. Sometimes our greatest gift is the gift of Truth and Wisdom to try again.
