Pisces New Moon Lunar Cycle Ritual Guide
Welcome Ghouls and Demons to the Lunar Cycle Ritual Guides! We start our cycle with the powerful Pisces New Moon following a few weeks after the Pisces Sun. This is our final chapter of this Tropical Astrological Year. It is important to remember that this cycle we are slightly skewed in alignment due to the tilt of the Earth. I always envision a top spinning around and around to remind myself how it all circulates together in necessary flow. It may seem as if you are juggling a mixture of events that seem contradictory in feeling. Like celebrating the birth of a new child, while also grieving the death of an elder within the family. It will be important to continue to grieve as you need but do not allow your grief to taint the beauty of new life and the freshness of a new beginning.
The Aries Sun and Spring Equinox in the middle of this Lunar Cycle may give you an itch to be fueled with energy to act fast. However, I urge patience at this time. There will be a range of time within this rebirthing cycle. Some may feel like early bloomers and some late. Feel into your personal needs at this time, but do not guilt yourself into feeling Left Behind. The light at the end of this Piscean tunnel will most likely be in view through this cycle, but I would lean on the side of caution in believing you have fully bloomed or birthed through the cocoon until the Aries New Moon. This can also depend on where you are at within your journey or what your focus is at this time. Perhaps there will be the early spring blooms in some areas of your life and in other areas you may only see the green starting to sprout. Again, be patient with yourself. Assure you are being realistic on which stage each intention/manifestation is at. Do not ruin your blossoms harvesting too early. Allow them to mature to divine perfection. Do not ruin the tastiness within the fruits of your labor by biting in before they ripen.
New Moon Pisces Ritual: “Surrender to your Intuition” March 10th, 2024
For this New Moon Ritual I suggest a sense of surrender and relaxation, perhaps a “break” from strict ritual workings. If you feel called to set dreamy intentions to anchor in on the death/rebirth cycle, please feel free to do so. There is never anything wrong with devoting yourself to your goals and intentions within your life through all Life, Death and Rebirth phases. Everyone may personally feel different within each cycle. Just as we all live in different areas of the world, different environments require different approaches. For example, warmer climates may already be preparing their gardens, however, northern climates are having to prepare indoors or await their seasonal timing. This is where your personal discernment will be important to personalize your craft and set your routines. Ensure you are trusting yourself and your intuition. Coaches, specialists and other teachers may have good advice or ideas, but if they do not align for you at this time? Do NOT follow through with them. Put a pin in it for another cycle or keep it in mind for when it may be more appropriate for you.
Pisces reminds us that we are all one within each other. Pisces is the all encompassing void. The great water that we all return to when we die and the water we are all birthed(rebirthed) from. It had been stated in the Labor of Hercules Know Thyself Podcast that Pisces may find themselves within every other sign or energy. There is an eclectic wholeness that is undeniable within the Pisces energy. While Aquarius reminds us to embrace our individuality, Pisces reminds us that despite our unique differences, there is a creation source within us all. Otherwise, we would not exist. All life comes from source. Embrace the individual with respect for the sameness of our roots. Just as mushrooms or other plants have an ecosystem of communication within each other. They may be individuals in expression, but they ensure the vitality of the grande All.
With all of this being said, for the New Moon ritual, I recommend a mediation ritual. Maybe find some music to sit with throughout the day while completing daily tasks. If you have the ability to enjoy a body of water (or bath) float in the water and allow the waves to rock you into a trance. However you see fit to allow yourself into such a state, create a day filled with floating in nothingness. Tying in with the Last Quarter in Sagittarius ritual. Float upon the waves of the final days of Pisces. Float within the shadow, the void of all that you are, have been and will become. Sit in knowing that divinity has always been within you. You no longer need to search for it outside of yourself. But remind that it has been within you all along. Spell workings and elaborate rituals are fun, empowering and have a purpose. It is necessary to take action externally. However, in this modern world, we often forget the balance of internal integration. Consumerism reinforces a need to purchase items or tools for ritual work to be successful. You technically do not need anything outside yourself. Nothing at all. This Pisces New Moon, I believe it will be important to remind yourself of such truths. That all the magick we desire, all the power we seek to find, has been within us all along.
First Quarter Cancer Ritual: “Spring Cleaning” March 17th, 2024
This First Quarter Ritual is within a few days before the Spring Equinox and with her being in the homey sign of Cancer? This will be a perfect time to take action and begin your Spring Cleaning remedies. Deeply cleanse your home from all the wintery stagnancy. Freshen up the Spirit of your House with the Hearth offerings of Spring. Take some time to purge yourself even further. Dive deep into the depths just as a crab on the oceanic floor and ensure you have removed all you need for the rebirth on the 19th. This can include an intense cleaning in all corners of your home, opening the windows and allowing the fresh air to flow through your home, adding fresh flowers to your space, simmer pots, throwing away/donating items you no longer need, changing the decor around your home to align with Spring instead of Winter, or any of the above. Set the intention of rebirth and refresh-ness as you move along your routine.
This Lunar Ritual may seem slightly short or ahead of schedule. If you prefer to await the cleanse until the direct Spring Equinox, you may choose to do so. However, there is significant support in the motherly energy that is Cancer. Perhaps you spend time cleansing yourself instead of your home at this time. Cancer tends to put everyone else first before themselves. This could be a great time to adjust such a mentality and ensure you are taken care of first and then the home or other priorities within your life. I personally will be utilizing this moon energy for my Spring Cleansing and the Spring Equinox energy as a time of celebration and will ensure all my cleansing is done at this time. (A Spring Equinox Ritual Guide will be posted around this First Quarter Moon).
Full Moon Libra Ritual: “Yin Yang Venn Diagram” March 25th, 2024
For the Full Moon Ritual in Libra, I am suggesting utilizing the Full Moon in a way that is not typically encouraged. I personally began my practice manifesting and purging with each and every moon phase. It did not matter whether it was New, First, Full or Last. I attached the traits of the Zodiac to the moon and would manifest the traits I desired and purge the traits I wished to release. Actively doing both each and every week with each and every phase. This can be a powerful routine, especially when focusing on “smaller” goals or intentions. I do not mean small as in they are not as grande as the “bigger” picture goals, but small as in the day to day expressions. The finer details, habits and behaviors of the self.
Libra is all about Balance, Justice and Beauty. While we may have set intentions and goals at the Spring Equinox a few days prior, as the Astrological New Year, and thus ritualizing a different set of New Year’s Resolutions; this would be a wonderful moon phase to reinforce such intentions. Pull in the resolutions you set at the Spring Equinox and the Solar New Year in January (if you set intentions then as well). I personally do not believe you can do “too much” or “not enough.” At each moment in your life, you will find there is a different need or requirement to achieve personal success. At this Full Moon, it is important to remember we are still in the final Lunar Cycle of the previous year. Again, we are in a skewed cycle. We may retrograde ourselves back into the death cycle at this time. We are still under the Pisces Lunar Cycle. We do not want to get too carried away in manifesting and setting life force goals, as if we were in a perfectly aligned Spring Equinox and Aries Lunar Cycle. Remind yourself of the flow within the Pisces energy that continues to remain. With that being said, pulling in the intentions that may have been set at the January Solar New Year and the intentions set at the Spring Equinox, this gives you a great opportunity to visualize and assess your personal balance.
For this ritual I suggest an artistic form of expression in reflecting and assessing your balance. Perhaps you create a venn diagram or other form of comparison chart. Utilize the imagery of the Yin Yang. What are your intentions for your Yin and what are your intentions for your Yang? Where do they overlap and coincide? Typically speaking, you may see where the January intentions relate more to your Yin and the March intentions align with your Yang. You may notice the Yin being related to your Shadow and the Yang being related to your Light. Again, this is where discernment and personalization will be crucial. What are your goals? Who are you desiring to be?
Once you have a good visual representation? Assess how you can incorporate a routine in your day to day and week to week that reinforces the balancing act of both shadow work and manifestation work. You will not be able to manifest without healing and integrating your shadow. Otherwise your shadow will sabotage all that you manifest. It’ll be a never ending pendulum swing of war that will become exhausting. While we may have a strong routine with New Moon manifestations and Full Moon purges? Pisces reminds us of our depths. Water reminds us that the tiniest of raindrops can generate a tsunami of a butterfly effect. At this Libra Full Moon it will be important to set intentions on how to balance our your personal death and rebirth needs. Utilize the visual as either a visual board or calendar that can be in daily direct focus to ensure constant focus on generating such changes. This will be an important foundation for the Capricorn Last Quarter Ritual.
Last Quarter Capricorn Ritual: “Balanced Foundations ” April 2nd, 2024
As we end this Pisces Lunar Cycle in the midst of the Aries Sun this Capricorn Last Quarter is the grounding force of physical action and discipline. At the Full Moon we created a plan to focus our daily balance rituals. While the last quarter is typically utilized as a releasing phase and not an action phase (like the first quarter), this is another moment where the tilted axis can create an atypical shift. It is important to flow with the nature of chaos. And while Capricorn is known for rigidity and rules? Some rules are meant to be broken when invoking change to flow into a better life. For this Last Quarter, I would mark this a “start” date or beginning phase to ground/integrate the plan created during the Libra Full Moon.
This can be viewed as the first day of a new job. You are learning how these new routines will flow. You are not meant to be perfect at these changes just yet, but showing initiative to integrate them and problem shooting anything that may arise before the Aries New Moon. Set the foundations of your daily/weekly spiritual and emotional routines that will set the stage for success within the grande manifestations of your life. Give yourself some grace, but ensure your discipline and focus, the Capricorn way.
This can also be a great time to focus on any outside gardening or yard work if that is in alignment with your lifestyle and goals. Embrace the energy of spring. Bridge the Cancer First Quarter and Capricorn Last Quarter sister signs and continue to clear out stagnant winter energy within your Hearth. I love to view Cancer as inside the home and Capricorn as the outside property of the home. Ensure you are aligning this within the seasonal elements of your environment. Here in Michigan, there are limited tasks we can accomplish at this time, as we never truly know when our last freeze may be. But you can always attend to seedlings inside, which may have already been initiated at Imbolc. Continue to layer your foundation brick by brick as the cycle unfolds. Some will say that Capricorn and Libra energy are conflicting, but I see Capricorn as the driving force that makes the vision of Libra a reality. Every element, zodiac or member of the team has an important role. It is up to you to ensure to utilize their strengths and mange them properly to ensure your success.
